Course Description

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply knowledge, practical skills and experience in leadership and management across a range of enterprise and industry contexts.

Individuals at this level display initiative and judgement in planning, organising, implementing and monitoring their own workload and the workload of others. They use communication skills to support individuals and teams to meet organisational or enterprise requirements.

They may plan, design, apply and evaluate solutions to unpredictable problems, and identify, analyse and synthesise information from a variety of sources.

Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) at a Year 12 high school level with good communication skills

Access to a stable internet connection as part of this course is offered via online learning

The ability to access and navigate the internet and use Microsoft Office suite

This qualification will be delivered 14 hours face to face per week in the campus and 6 hours online. Total duration is 52 weeks. This includes 40 weeks of training and assessment spread over 5 terms (The first term is 6-week long and last term 4-week long. The other 3 terms are 10-week long). 12 weeks of holidays are spread over 4 terms breaks.

The BSB50420 Diploma of Leadership and Management requires successful completion of 6 core units and 6 elective units.

The costs for this course are as follows:

  • Off-shore student, who have passed Australian Year 12 or equivalent school studies, who may have little or no vocational experience, but who possess learning skills and knowledge that they would use to develop leadership and management skills.
  • Holder of Certificates/other qualifications in management or other areas or/and having experience in leadership & management positions or related professions and are interested in developing their leadership & management knowledge and skills. CCMT will provide RPL/Credit for eligible student for specific units in this qualification on a case-to-case basis and then place the student in suitable term, if available.

Students who complete this course may be able to seek employment in various roles such as Manager, Corporate Services Manager, Public Sector Manager, etc.

Students who complete this course may pursue higher level qualifications such as BSB60420 Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management.
