This qualification reflects the role of individuals who provide leadership and support strategic direction in the marketing and communications activities of an organisation. Their knowledge base may be highly specialised or broad within the marketing and communications field. Typically, they are accountable for group outcomes and the overall performance of the marketing and communication, advertising or public relations functions of an organisation.
This qualification applies to individuals in full-time marketing roles, as well as those who are responsible for an organisation’s marketing in addition to other duties.

Entry requirements for this qualification in the training package are either BSB50620 – Diploma of Marketing and Communication; or successful completion of following units: (or equivalent competencies): BSBMKG541 Identify and evaluate marketing opportunities, BSBMKG542 Establish and monitor the marketing mix, BSBMKG552 Design and develop marketing communication plans, BSBMKG555 Write persuasive copy, and BSBPMG430 Undertake project work; or Having four years equivalent full-time relevant work experience.

International Students may not be required to provide evidence of scores in English Language Test where documented evidence can be provided to demonstrate any of the following:
Students who have successfully completed in Australia in the English language either the Senior Secondary Certificate of Education or 50% of the units of a Certificate IV or higher-level course, in the two years before applying for the student visa.
This qualification will be delivered 14 hours face to face per week in the campus and 6 hours online per week. This qualification will be delivered over 52 weeks in total. Total number of weeks for training and assessment is 40 weeks over 5 terms. Number of holidays is 12 weeks, spread over 4 term breaks of 3 weeks each. No term break is given after last term.
Twelve (12) units including four (04) core units and eight (08) elective units are required to pass for the award of the BSB60520 Advanced Diploma of Marketing and Communication. Units have been selected in accordance with the packaging rules and are relevant to the work outcome, local industry requirements and qualification level.

The applicants will hold BSB50620 – Diploma of Marketing and Communication but may not have any marketing work experience.
CCMT expects that a student will be able to read, comprehend and write a range of texts in English within a variety of contexts. S/he will be able to use and respond to spoken language including some unfamiliar material within a variety of contexts and will be able to recognise and use a variety of conventions and symbolism of formal mathematics.
Students who complete this course may wish to continue their education into a range of higher qualifications, such as the Bachelor of Marketing and Communication.
